1 against 1 on cone goals

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression, Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players

Setup

A rectangle is built with cones and two cone gates on the goal lines. Two players enter the field with a ball.

Procedure

Two players each play a minute 1 against 1 (with a short break) on two small cone goals that are 12-16 meters apart. A number of such fields can be built up. This means that an entire team can train 1 against 1 at the same time.

Tip

- The defensive player tries to attack the attacker as early as possible so that the attacker cannot build up a pace and if possible place his body between him and his shoulder. - The attacker tries to take advantage of his starting advantage and build fakes over and over again. - The defensive player tries to win the duel with possession of the ball. - The defender should close the way to the goal. Stand laterally so that the attacker has to choose the path away from the goal. - 8 cones
