Two teams (blue and yellow) are formed. Team blue consists of eleven players in the 4-4-2 formation. Team yellow consists of seven players. There is a goalkeeper in both goals.
The blue team trains in the 4-4-2 formation to move across the entire course, while the yellow team sets the running paths for team blue through its passing game. There are three methodological stages of implementation: Level 1: Team blue shifts against team yellow in the 3-3-1 formation. The players in team yellow slowly adjust the ball and always accept the ball. So blue can always move cleanly in the network and the trainer has the opportunity (if necessary) to make corrections. Level 2: Team yellow now plays with 2 ball contacts, making the game faster. Team blue must now cover the respective routes much faster. Level 3: Now a real game between the two teams is played on the entire field with one goalkeeper each. Team yellow continues to play in the 3-3-1 formation.
- The focus of this form of play is on the one hand on studying the running routes in the team network. On the other hand, the ball-holding team is trained in solving game situations in a pressing situation. - If the opponent has possession of the ball, the team moves within the defensive network in the 4-4-2 line formation on an area of maximum 35 x 35 meters. The defensive formation is characterized in your starting position by a line positioning of the individual team parts. That the four defenders, the four midfielders and the two strikers are all on the same level. They form three lines of defense. It is important to keep certain distances between each other, which ensures optimal defense of your own goal. These distances are usually as follows: 7-12 meters wide and 8-15 meters deep. The distances between the individual players and team parts can vary due to an inconsistent game pace, changes in the game situation or due to temporary undersize. If the opponent's possession of the ball moves in the 4-4-2 diamond formation, the area should also be limited to a maximum of 35 x 35 meters. The defensive formation is positioned in the individual parts of the team as follows: The four defenders stand on one level, the central defensive midfielder, the midfielders in half positions and the offensive midfielder stand offset and the two strikers stand on one level. They form five lines of defense. However, one option is to engage the midfielders in the half position at the level of the defensive, central midfielder and thus a chain of three. Then only four lines of defense would form. In the team alliance, a compact, disciplined shift is aimed at, with the aim of narrowing the spaces and thus not allowing the opponent to pass into the depth on the one hand, and depriving him of the opportunity to start individual actions on the other. One of the most important tactical duel measures is to steer the ball-carrying player onto the outside lane and to get possession of the ball by double, and to direct the opening of the opposing team to the outside players by moving the pass routes there so that only one pass is left in the middle is possible. There, the player is then doubled and put under massive pressure - the paths of the players in the chain of four are towards the ball back and forth or to the left and right. Often players move inward as they move forward. However, there should be a deep staggering of the players. Thus, the player must continuously move sideways to the rear. In addition, the midfielders should always double the defenders. The same applies to the strikers. - Passes in depth (on the strikers) make the defense chain move forward. Moving the ball to the outside forces the defense chain to move forward to the side. The result is that the attacking team is given rooms in depth, as well as the opportunity to pass through a diagonal ball on the vacated side. - The pass players in the back room shouldn't run too close to the front man and should always keep 20-30 meters distance from the attackers so that they have the game happening permanently in front of them and can 'run' into the balls so that the ball can make contact quickly to be able to forward. - 2 large field goals (s)
