A field with 3 different zones is marked out with cones. At the boundaries of the middle zone, a goal is placed on each side with the opening facing away from the middle zone. In the middle zone between the two goals, players have one touch; in the two zones behind the goals, free play. There is a goalkeeper in each goal. Two teams of 10 are formed. The balls are distributed between the goals.
Procedure
The 10-player teams play against each other with the objective of scoring goals. Due to the zones and their touch restrictions, players are motivated to quickly bridge the 1-touch middle zone with long balls or with only a few passes.
Tip
- The focus of this game format is on fast play with long balls into the attacking third. - The teams should be in constant motion. Players constantly try to make themselves available as passing options for their teammates. - The team without possession tries to cleverly close down passing lanes and spaces, constantly pressuring the player on the ball and those around him. - This game format requires an enormous amount of running and tactical understanding, characterised by constant communication. It also develops long-range passing and fast counterattacks. - Players must repeatedly break free from their markers and move into the end zone. - The difficulty increases because the goals face away from the field of play. - 8 cones, 2 full-size goal(s)
