A starting cone and a cone goal are set up on the left and right at the 18-yard line. A goal is set up on each end of the field, with a goalkeeper in each. 2 field players position themselves on the field as shown in the diagram in front of the cone goal.
Procedure
The blue player dribbles with the ball through the cone goal, shoots on goal, and sprints toward the opposite cone goal to prevent the red player from finishing. The red player starts his speed dribble the moment the blue player runs in his direction.
Tip
- The attacker tries to use his sprint speed advantage or apply a feint. - The defender tries to close down the attacker as early as possible so that the attacker cannot build up speed, and if possible positions his body between himself and the attacker with the shoulder forward. - The defender tries to catch up to the attacker, close down the passing lane, or push him to the side. - 6 cones, 2 full-size goal(s)
