2 vs 2 + 1 to Goal

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19, Men's / Women's
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players, 6 - 9 players, 10-15 players

Setup

  • 4 cones
  • 1 goal

Procedure

Attackers aim to break free from their opponent and create space for a pass. Once a pass is made to one of the attackers, they attempt to score a goal. If defenders gain possession, they should quickly pass to the feeder.

Tip

Coaching Points

  • Execute attacks swiftly
  • Control the ball with the far foot from the defender
  • Feeder must dribble once. The ball cannot be played stationary into the field
  • This exercise is excellent for training the opposite movement of the two forwards. If one attacker drops short and is marked by a defender, the second forward can exploit the space behind the first forward. Conversely, if an attacker drops short and the defender maintains distance, the attacker can be played into and turn.
