Set up the exercise as shown in the diagram. Player assignment: A and J in the centre of the field, player I next to the lower goal. The remaining players are distributed next to the goals. The goalkeepers go in the goals and the balls are placed next to the goals.
Procedure
Player I opens the situation with a pass to attacker J, who is being pressured by defender A. J plays the ball back into the run of I. Now a 2v1 situation develops. A may score on the opposite goal if he wins the ball. The offside rule applies. Striker J also has the option of holding the ball or going into a dribble.
Tip
- When the passer begins the backswing, this is the starting signal for the player expecting the ball. - In this exercise, the starting timing and first touch are of utmost importance. The passer also must continue running immediately after the pass. - Defensive duel (winning the ball is the top priority! Do not just kick the ball away.) - Position the body so that the opponent is pushed away from the goal toward the outside. Close off the path to the end line. Stand sideways, offer one side; lure the opponent where you want him; then slide the body in between to win the ball. - Stand on the balls of the feet, not on the flat foot. - Try to slow down the opponent's speed. (This buys time for the other defenders present in a real match.) - Attacking duel When possible, approach the opponent at top speed. At slow speed, try to use a body fake. - 6 cones, 2 full-size goal(s)
