2v2 with Neutral Supporting Player

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 6 - 9 players

Setup

Four players position themselves at the level of the penalty area and a goalkeeper goes in the goal on the end line. The passer takes the ball to the starting cone at the halfway line.

Procedure

The neutral yellow-red player plays a pass to player A, who tries to break free from his marker. The strikers fake a check-away move or an approach toward the passer to deceive the defender. The two attackers then try to score against the defenders.

Tip

- The attacking player starts with the passer's backswing. - The attacker tries to use his starting advantage and the ability to change direction. - The defenders try to close down the attacker as early as possible so that the attacker cannot build up speed, and if possible position their bodies between themselves and the attacker with the shoulder forward. - The defender tries to catch up to the attacker, close down the passing lane, or push him to the side. - The defender tries to win the duel by gaining possession. - The defender should close off the path to the goal. Stand offset to the side so that the attacker must take the route away from the goal. - 2 cones, 1 full-size goal(s)
