3 vs 1 in 3 Squares

Setup

  • 8 cones to set up 3 squares
  • 1 attacker in each square. They are not allowed to leave their squares

Procedure

The defender tries to force the attackers in their square into a passing mistake or to intercept the ball by attacking smartly.

If a mistake occurs (ball out of play, interception, ...), the player who made the mistake switches to the middle.

Tip

Coaching Points

  • Constantly move out of the defender's shadow
  • Do not position on the same line as the teammate (continuously try to offer the player in possession 2 passing options)
  • Play with few touches
