3rd Game Format: 8 vs. 8 + Goalkeepers

  • Age U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point

Setup

The players position themselves on the field as shown in the diagram, set up two goals, and mark the field with cones. The goalkeepers go into the goals.

Procedure

Both teams play with equal numbers. Attacks should be finished with a shot on goal. The game is played without restrictions with the goal of implementing offensive play from the back in a game-realistic manner.

Tip

- The tactical setup for Team A is a 4-3-1, for Team B a 2-4-2, with the wide midfielders acting as overlapping fullbacks. - The focus is now on further automating the running, dribbling, and passing lanes under opponent pressure, with equal numbers, when attacks are initiated from different positions. - The attacking variations are either initiated through the goalkeeper or arise from winning possession and have the same follow-up actions as in the previous game formats. However, crosses and finishing are now added. - The offside rule applies. - 2 cones, 2 full-size goal(s)
