A goal is set up on the end line, with a goalkeeper inside. 5 field players position themselves in the centre circle at the halfway line as shown in the diagram and place a cone there. Three attacking players and one defender get in formation, and another defender is positioned to the left at the level of the cone. The central attacker has the ball.
Procedure
The central blue player dribbles at top speed toward the defender and passes into the running path of the left or right winger. The second red defender starts toward the defence as soon as the attack begins. Alternative: The central attacker is also allowed to dribble past the defender.
Tip
- The central defender tries to lure the ball carrier to one side and delay his attack so that the second defender can get involved. - The dribbler tries to use his sprint speed advantage and draw a defender to himself. - The team with the numerical advantage must push the attack forward quickly and use the full width of the field. The pass to the teammate must not come too late. - 2 cones, 1 full-size goal(s)
