5 + 5 against 5

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point

Setup

With cones a playing field with 2 goals is marked out according to the graphic. 2 cones mark the center line. 4 teams (blue, yellow, gray and red) with 5 players each are formed. There is a goalkeeper in each of the goals.

Procedure

It is played 5 against 5 with players on the outside and behind the goal. Each team of 5 has 5 additional play options on the offensive (2 on the outside lanes, 3 behind the goal). The outside players have only one contact, the players in the middle have free play. The goal is to score goals. Goals only count if all players of your own team have moved over the center line to be successful (are in the opposing half of the field). Goals count twice if the opposing team is not completely defensive in their own half at the time the goal is scored. The blue team may only play with the gray players and the red team only with the yellow players. Variant: Goals also count twice if the pass to score was made by an outside player.

Tip

- This form of play requires an enormous amount of running and understanding of the game and is characterized by constant communication and an interplay between the two halves of the game. - The teams should be constantly on the move. The players constantly try to offer themselves and to be available to their fellow players as a reference station. - Triangles should be formed regularly and the goalkeeper or the outside lane player should be used as a player. - This form of play trains the short pass game, play in tight spaces, duel behavior and quick side changes as well as counter-pace. - The goal for the defenders is either to get possession of the ball or to push the attacker who has the ball to the side into the goal-safe area and to block the pass route to the goal / to the teammate by double or indenting. - The teams of 5 should change after 2-3 minutes, as this game is very intense physically. - The formation of 4 teams creates a tournament or competition character. - 6 cones, 2 large field goal (s)
