5 vs 2

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression
  • Number of Players 6 - 9 players

Setup

Construction of a cone square according to the drawing. 7 players are divided into a group of 5 and a group of two.

Procedure

It is played 5 against 2. The players of the red team of 5 adjust the ball and have a ball contact. The two blue players must try to take possession of the ball. If one of the blue players touches the ball or the ball goes out, the blue player who was longest in the middle changes position with the red player who made the mistake. If the red team makes 20 ball contacts in a row, the two blue players must remain in the middle for one round longer. The same applies if a red player plays the ball through the legs of a blue player (tunnel).

Tip

- Care should be taken to ensure a precise passing game. - The team in possession of the ball must be staggered so that all sides of the field and possibly the center of the field are occupied. - The passing game alternates between many short passes and occasional long passes to shift the page. - The players constantly try to be available to their fellow players as a reference station. - The team without possession tries to block the pass routes and rooms skillfully and puts constant pressure on the player in possession of the ball and his teammates. - The side players should adopt an open game position (outline in the back) so that you can always keep an eye on the next play station. - This form of play trains the short pass game and play in tight spaces. - 4 cones
