6 against 3 in alternation

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 10-15 players

Setup

A goal is placed in the middle of the base line and a goal in the middle of the center line. 3 teams of 3 players are formed; there is a goalkeeper in both goals.

Procedure

There are always 2 teams playing together against the third team (6 against 3). In the graphic, team red and team yellow start together against team blue. If the underpowered team conquers the ball or if the underpowered team gains the goal by winning the ball followed by a counterattack, they change the position with the team of three who are responsible for the loss of the ball. The direction of attack is changed after each ball is lost.

Tip

The focus of this form of play is on the one hand on learning the routes in the defense network with the follow-up actions 'rapid switching from defense to attack' and ball control after winning the ball. On the other hand, the freewheeling game with the goal of scoring a goal is rehearsed for the team in possession of the ball. - The goal for the defenders is to either get possession of the ball or to push the attacker who has the ball into the goal-safe area to the side. - On the offensive, permanent movement and a fast, precise passing game are required. According to the 1-3-2 formation (variable 2-3-1 etc.), the players should be staggered in depth and consequently moving on a line should be avoided (depth staggering means creating play options). The outside lane players should use the width of the field and be positioned on the outside line. - The players have varying tasks due to the constant change of positions from attack to defense or the example of a subordinate team or the initiation of fast countermeasures. - 2 large field goals (s)
