6 against 6 on four cone goals

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression, Main point
  • Number of Players 10-15 players

Setup

Construction of a cone square. A cone goal is built on the left and right outline of the quadrangle, as well as an extension of the two goals in the cone quadrangle itself (see graphic).

Procedure

Both teams defend their own two goals and try to score by shooting the ball through one of the other team's two cone goals. The blue team defends the two blue cone goals, the red team the two red cone goals. Goals may only be scored from the front. Both teams have free play. Variant: If the ball is shot / passed through one of the middle cone goals and the ball on the other side is accepted by a teammate, the goal counts twice and the team remains in possession of the ball.

Tip

- The focus of this form of play is on the one hand on defending two cone goals with the follow-up actions 'quick switching from defense to attack' or ball control after winning the ball. On the other hand, the freewheeling game with the goal of scoring a goal is rehearsed for the team in possession of the ball. - The goal for the defenders is either to get possession of the ball or to push the attacker who has the ball to the side into the goal-safe area and to block the pass route to the goal / to the teammate by doubling or indenting. - Triangles have to be formed again and again to offer play options. - The teams should be constantly on the move. The players constantly try to offer themselves and to be available to their fellow players as a pass option. - This form of play requires a good understanding of the game and is characterized by regular communication. - 12 cones
