A goal is placed centrally on the goal line and another goal centrally on the midfield line. 3 teams of 3 players each are formed; there is a goalkeeper in each goal.
Procedure
Two teams always play together against the third team (6 vs 3). In the diagram, team red and team yellow start together against team blue. If the outnumbered team wins the ball or scores a goal through a counterattack after winning possession, they switch positions with the 3-player team that lost the ball. The direction of attack changes after every loss of possession.
Tip
The focus of this game format is on practising defensive movement patterns with the follow-up actions of 'quick transition from defence to attack' and ball control after winning possession. Additionally, the team in possession practices creating space with the goal of scoring. - The goal for the defenders is to either win possession or force the player with the ball into a non-threatening area toward the sideline. - On offence, constant movement and quick, precise passing are required. According to the 1-3-2 formation (variable 2-3-1 etc.), players should maintain depth in their positioning, thus avoiding being on the same line (depth means creating passing options). The wide players should use the full width of the field and position themselves on the sideline. - Due to the constant rotation between attacking and defending positions, or playing as the outnumbered team or initiating fast counterattacks, the players face varying tasks. - 2 full-size goal(s)
