Two teams (yellow and blue) are formed to play against each other on one half of the field. A goal is placed on the goal line and on the midfield line, each with a goalkeeper.
Procedure
There is a fixed system and task assignment for both teams. The yellow team plays in a 3-2-1 formation and the blue team in a 2-3-1 formation. Team yellow's task is to maintain possession as long as possible, may not score a goal, and must defend both goals after losing the ball. The blue team must press the yellow team and try to win the ball. After winning the ball, they must attack the goal furthest away at the moment of winning the ball as quickly as possible and try to score. After every completed attack, play restarts with the yellow goalkeeper opening play with yellow in possession.
Tip
- The team in possession should stretch the play long and wide. This creates open spaces. - After losing the ball, an immediate transition to defending the goal furthest from the ball must occur. - The defending team must shift as a unit. - After winning the ball, a quick transition from defence to attack toward the goal furthest from the ball takes place. - 6 cones or more, 2 full-size goal(s)
