Setup

  • Place 4 mini-goals on the halfway line
  • Divide players into two teams of 6 players each

Procedure

The two teams will play against each other (6v6) and the players have unlimited touches.

The goal of the red team is to pass the ball into one of the four mini-goals on the halfway line.

The goalkeeper in goal always starts the drill.

Both teams will play with a back-four and two defensive midfielders (4-2).

Tip

Coaching Points:

• The opponent's full-back has the ball: Center-back closest to the ball will cover for own full-back (inclined behind him)

• Back-Four: Stay tight while shifting towards one side

• Center-back can help press on the wing if the center of the field is covered by teammates

• If the center-back steps out to support the full-back, both players should apply high pressure to prevent the opponent from switching the point of attack
