7 against 7 on six cone goals

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression, Main point

Setup

Construction of a cone square with 3 cone goals each on the two opposite base lines of the square. 2 teams of 7 players are formed.

Procedure

The two teams play against each other. Each team defends 3 goals on either side and tries to score the ball in one of the 3 opposing goals. Variants: Free play 2 contacts, 1 contact

Tip

- The focus of this game form is on the one hand on the learning of the routes in the defensive network with the follow-up actions 'quick switch from defense to attack' or ball control after winning the ball. On the other hand, the freewheeling game is practiced with the ball-owning team with the goal of scoring a goal. - The goal for the defenders is to either get possession of the ball or to push the attacker who has the ball to the side into the goal-safe area and to block the pass route to the goal / opponent by double or indenting. The midfielder tries to double or to block the pass. - Triangles have to be formed again and again in order to offer play options. - The teams should be constantly on the move. The players constantly try to offer themselves and to be available to their fellow players as a reference station. - A long play in a narrow space should be avoided. Therefore, page changes or passes in depth should be played regularly. - This form of play requires an enormous amount of running and understanding of the game and is characterized by constant communication. - 16 cones
