Use four cones to mark a playing field that extends from the goal line to the halfway line and from the sideline to the level of the near post. Two teams of 7 (red and blue) are formed to play against each other.
Procedure
Both teams play against each other with the objective of keeping the ball within their own ranks. The team in possession should use wide and deep passing to prevent the other team from gaining possession. The other team must try to win the ball through aggressive tackling and organised pressing. Different difficulty levels: - Free play - 2 touches - 1 touch
Tip
- The team in possession must be positioned so that all sides of the field and the centre are occupied. - Triangles must constantly be formed to provide passing options. - The passing game alternates between many short passes and occasional long passes to shift the zones of play. - Both teams should be in constant motion. Players continuously try to make themselves available as passing options for their teammates. - The team without possession tries to cleverly block passing lanes and spaces and appliesnpermanent pressure on the player with the ball and his nearby teammates. - Getting trapped in a tight space should be avoided. Therefore, all sides must be occupied so that a wide or deep pass is always possible. - The wide players should adopt an open body position (sideline behind them) so they can always see the next passing option. - This game form requires an enormous amount of running and tactical understanding and is characterised bynconstant communication. - 4 cones
