8 against 8 + 2 attackers / defenders with goalkeepers in one half of the field on 2 large goals

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point

Setup

In one half of the field, cones are used to mark out the center and side lines. A goal is built on the base line and on the center line. Two teams of 10 are formed, which position themselves according to the graphic. There is a goalkeeper in each of the goals.

Procedure

It is played 10 against 10, whereby a maximum of 16 field players may be in one half of the field at the same time. Depending on how quickly the teams switch from attack to defense (and vice versa), there are always under- and overpayment situations that should be exploited by the quick attempt to finish the goal. If the number is equal (8 against 8), the attacking game should be set up in such a way that the ball is circulated through its own rows until a gap in the defensive opens up. After 8 ball contacts in your own rows, the ball can be played long and quickly to the top. The two strikers may come to the goal immediately or hold the ball until the other players move up and, if necessary, an overpower situation arises.

Tip

- The focus of the game form is on the one hand on ball control with the options of 'quickly switching from defense to attack'. On the other hand, this form of play trains the freewheeling game and attack the ball-owning team. - The teams should be constantly on the move. The players constantly try to offer themselves and to be available to their fellow players as a reference station. - A long play in a narrow space should be avoided. Therefore, page changes or passes in depth should be played regularly. - This form of play requires an enormous amount of running and understanding of the game and is characterized by constant communication and an interplay between the two halves of the field. - 5 cones, 2 large field goal (s)
