8 against 8 on four cone goals

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression, Main point

Setup

A cone square is built, on each of the 4 lines a cone goal is placed in the middle. Two teams of 8 are formed.

Procedure

The two teams play against each other with a free contact number. The red team defends the two red cone gates and attacks the two blue cone gates, the blue team accordingly defends the blue cone goals and attacks the red ones. Alternative: limit the ball contacts to - 3 contacts - 2 contacts - 1 contact

Tip

- The goal is to shift depending on the ball position on the defensive in the group and to switch quickly if the ball is in possession. If this is not possible, the ball should be checked and the opponents should be encouraged to run through a targeted passing game until there is a free space to complete the goal. - Players must always keep an eye on the opposing team's players and the goals to be defended. - Maintain fit timing and accuracy. - Play passes sharply and accurately. - Quick change to the defensive after losing the ball. - Talk and organize with each other. - Keep concentration high. - Relocate at the play and don't just concentrate on one goal. - If possible build up a fast passing game and look for the pass in depth. - If you have the ball, also change the positions and do not play too static. - 12 cones
