Two 8-player teams are formed (yellow and blue) that play against each other on one half of the field. The three pressing zones - defensive, midfield, and attacking pressing - are marked with cones. A goal is set up on the goal line and on the midfield line. Each goal has a goalkeeper.
Procedure
The players of both teams are divided into the pressing zones as follows: Defensive pressing zone: Two defenders each from yellow and blue. Midfield pressing zone: Four midfielders each from yellow and blue. Attacking pressing zone: Two forwards each from yellow and blue. The teams' task is to finish with a shot on goal after successful passing. However, players may not leave their zones. They may only pass the ball forward and backward into all zones. In the midfield zone, a maximum of 2 touches is allowed; in the defensive and attacking zones, touches are unlimited.
Tip
- The midfield line must shift as a unit and press the ball carrier. - The forwards attack the two defenders. - The defenders play man-to-man marking when the opponent has the ball. - When in possession, use the full width of the field. - 6 cones, 2 full-size goal(s)
