On the end line of the field, set up a goal with a goalkeeper inside. Several field players are positioned on the field as shown in the diagram. On the left/right wings, one or two players stand 10-15 metres apart. The two strikers take their positions 5-10 metres apart at the level of the penalty area line. The remaining players line up in pairs at the halfway line. The balls are distributed as shown in the diagram.
Procedure
3-8 minutes attacking patterns/finishing at goal (depending on the warm-up time chosen, 1-4 exercises can be selected) - Opening pass + through pass + shot on goal - Dribbling + shot in zones - Diagonal ball low/half-high, ball reception, cross + finishing at goal - One-two with the striker, pass to the wing, ball reception, overlap, cross + finishing at goal
Tip
- The strikers make crossing runs toward the near and far posts. - When crossing, it is important that the players start moving after the second-to-last pass and switch positions explosively at sprint speed just before the crosser's kicking motion. - The crossing players/attackers must not start too early. - Make sure the practised movement patterns lead to a fast, fluid overall movement. - The gaze should regularly be lifted from the ball (alternating between looking at the ball and looking forward). - The player expecting the pass makes a short counter-movement simultaneously with the passer's kicking motion. - The pass should be played into the running path of the player expecting the ball. - The passer must observe the running path of the player expecting the ball. - Ball reception should be done with one touch. - Shots should be placed into the corners. - 1 small goal(s), 8 cones
