The goalkeeper stands 2-3 m in front of his goal. Approximately 8-10 m from him stands the goalkeeper coach (GC) with the balls. On the halfway line in the centre stands a small goal.
Procedure
The GC plays a flat back pass to the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper passes the ball directly into the small goal on the halfway line. The ball should reach the goal as a lofted ball. Intensity: Approx. 20 passes.
Tip
- Constantly demand accuracy and tempo (slow execution will not lead to game-realistic success in the long run). - The standing foot should be placed 30-40 cm to the side of and at the level of the ball. - Instep shot (full instep): The toes point down, the ankle is tense and the upper body is slightly leaned over the ball. The striking surface is the back part of the top of the foot. To achieve greater flight distance, the player can lean the upper body slightly backward. - Inside-of-the-foot pass: The ball is struck partly with the inside and partly with the instep. The standing foot is positioned next to the ball and the player's upper body goes into a sideways lean. The toes point down, similar to the foot position for the instep shot. - Inside-of-the-foot shot/pass: The toes point up, the ankle is firmly tensed and rotated 90 degrees outward. The kicking foot is slightly raised. The ball must be struck in the centre. Bring the body over the ball and avoid arching the back. - 1 small goal, 1 full-size goal(s)
