Ball acceptance with back to the goal

Setup

Construction of a goal and two starting cones (I + II) according to the drawing. A player stands with his back to the goal at starting cone I, the remaining players with balls at cone II.

Procedure

The player A plays a high ball to B. The player B accepts the ball in the air, while he turns towards the goal. The second contact with the ball should be the shot on goal. Immediately after playing, player A takes the position of B, and so on.

Tip

- Make sure that the shot on goal is trained with right and left. - The ball acceptance and shot should be a fluid movement. Too much rebounding of the ball or deviating from the goal should be avoided. - The upper body is turned in the way ball acceptance with the chest. The body should be turning during the ball acceptance so that the second contact with the ball can be the direct shot on goal. - While playing a volley the upper body is slightly bent forward. The ball is hit at a low point (not too high). So that the ball is hit with stronger pressure and a higher accuracy. - At the drop kick, the ball is hit with the instep just at the moment the ball touches the ground. - 2 cones, 1 large field goal (s)
