Ball Control with Back to Goal and Turn Toward Goal

  • Training Set Progression, Main point

Procedure

The player controls the ball with his back to the opponent's goal and is marked by a defender. Using quick body feints, the striker tries to push past the defender toward the goal to then look for a shot on goal. This exercise is very game-relevant, as the striker often receives passes from midfield with his back to the opponent's goal while being marked by a defender.
