Ball Reception/Dribbling + Shooting

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19, Men's / Women's
  • Training Set End
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players, 6 - 9 players, 10-15 players

Setup

  • 1 goal
  • 2 cones at the edge of the 5-meter area
  • 2 cones at the 16-meter line
  • 2 cones 5 meters behind the 16-meter line
  • Two groups with a ball placed at the 5-meter line, 2 players without a ball placed at the rear cone

Procedure

  • From the baseline, one player delivers a sharp, low pass to the last cone line behind the 16-meter area.
  • The player positioned there (behind the rear cone) takes a good first touch into space, allowing them to shoot on goal with the second touch.
  • The shot on goal should be taken behind or at the edge of the penalty area.
  • After taking the shot, the player joins the group at the 5-meter line. The player who made the pass takes the position at the 16-meter line. This action alternates on both sides.

Tip

  • Ball reception, dribbling, and shooting should be in one fluid motion.
  • This can be played as a shooting competition with points awarded, and sides should be switched halfway through so that shots can be taken with both the dominant and weaker foot.
