Set up a football tennis court measuring 8 x 16 metres. In the middle, a net is stretched at a height of 1.50 m (alternatively, a cone corridor of 3 metres width can replace the net).
Procedure
The serve is taken as a volley from the hand or as a drop kick. After playing the ball to the other side, the player must run outside the court to the other side and line up behind the waiting players. The ball may bounce once in the court and must be played back by the player with at most the second touch. Then the player also runs to the other side, etc. If a player hits the ball out/into the net or fails to play the ball into the court with the given number of touches, he is eliminated. The final between the last two players can be played to 3. Each error (out/net/too many touches) counts as a point for the other player.
Tip
- The number of touches can vary depending on the coach's instructions. - Tip: If it is possible for the player to take the ball directly out of the air, he should do so. Afterwards he can let the ball bounce on the ground and calmly pass it into the other court. - Of course, the player may process the ball with all body parts except the hand. However, football tennis should not become a pure heading game; the focus should be on leg technique. - 4 or more cones, 1 football tennis net
