Number of Players
1 - 5 players, 6 - 9 players, 10-15 players
Procedure
-
- The midfielder dribbles through the two cones. When reaching the 2nd cone, they pass to their teammate.
- The attacker must time their run to get free. They perform a running feint into space, then come short to receive the pass in an open position.
- The attacker then takes a shot.
- Variation:
- Add a defender who, upon winning the ball, can counterattack across the dotted line between the cones.
- Include a supporting defender who applies pressure on the passer (from the side or behind) upon interception.
- Introduce a second attacker and defender. The attackers must coordinate their runs with each other.
Tip
- Coaching Points:
- The pass and the initial movement must be perfectly coordinated.
- Encourage using both feet in the exercise.
