Catching a high ball.

Setup

The goalkeeper coach positions himself according to the diagram 12-14 Meters in front of the goalkeeper. The balls are with the coach.

Procedure

: The goalkeeper runs to the coach and catches a ball thrown high. He must catch this at its highest point following a one legged jump from a running position. Order of movements: (1) Set-off and run towards the ball (2) One legged jump (3) Catch the ball at its highest point with stretched out arms (4) Pull the ball towards the chest, land

Tip

- The ball should be caught at its highest point.\n- The arms have to be stretched out.\n- The goalkeeper jumps off one leg and bends the other (for protection).\n- Pull the ball to the chest as fast as possible.\n- Launch off the balls of the feet.\n- Take short steps.\n
