Central Attack - Attacker with Back to Goal

Setup

  • 2 small goals
  • 1 main goal
  • 1 goalkeeper, 1 center-back, 1 forward (number 9), and 1 midfielder (number 10)

Procedure

The number 10 dribbles in, and the number 9 stands with their back to the goal. The number 9 makes an initial move and demands the ball. The pass initiates a 1v1 situation between the forward and the center-back. The center-back has the opportunity to counter-attack towards the small goals after winning the ball.

Tip

Coaching Points:

  • Clean initial move (feint)
  • Demand quick separation from the defender - Use of body
  • Quick turn towards the goal
  • Explosive start into the 1v1 situation
  • Seek the goal finish.
