4 players (2 strikers and 2 midfielders or defenders) are positioned on the field as shown in the diagram. The two strikers stand 5-8 metres from the edge of the penalty area. The two feeders stand at the halfway line. A goalkeeper is in the goal, the remaining players line up in pairs behind players B and C.
Procedure
Player C passes to player I, who checks toward the ball (1). I lets the ball bounce to player B (2), immediately runs diagonally into the penalty area where he receives a through ball from player B and shoots on goal, or lays the ball off across to the supporting player J. Afterward, players E and F take the positions of B and C.
Tip
- The strikers cross toward the near and far post. - When crossing, it is important that the players start moving after the second-to-last pass and explosively switch positions at sprint speed just before the crosser begins the crossing motion. - The crossing players or attackers must not start too early. - The check-away move of the pass receiver starts with the passer's backswing. - 1 full-size goal(s)
