Chaos Game

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19

Setup

  • Mark cones to create a field of 15 x 25 meters
  • Set up 3 small goals on the goal lines
  • Divide players into 4 teams of 3 players each and position them in the field
  • 2 teams play against each other

Procedure

Procedure:

  • 2 sets of 3 vs. 3 on the small goals
  • All teams can score valid goals at any of the opposite small goals
  • Only players from a given pair can compete against each other
  • These players must not obstruct the ball carriers of the other pair

Tip

  • Variations:
    • Set up the small goals at the ends
    • Set up the small goals at the lengths and ends and thus allow the two games to run in different directions
    • Enlarge the playing field
    • Play with a maximum of 3 touches
  • Tips and Corrections:
    • Both games take place in the same field towards the same goals
    • Players should not only focus on one goal in attack but quickly identify free spaces and shift the game
    • The Chaos Game helps to find playful and creative solutions in a confined space
