Close-range shots on goal in a 3 meter cone-goal

Setup

set up a 3 meter wide cone goal in the goal. The goalkeeper trainer positions himself at a distance of 6 meters in front of the cone goal in which the goalkeeper is standing. The goalkeeper has the soccer balls.

Procedure

The goalkeeper coach shoots hard, powerful balls at the cone goal, which the goalkeeper must save. Resource: 1 field goal

Tip

1 full-court goal(s), Due to the forceful instep shot close-range shot by the goalkeeper trainer the goalkeeper has to react quickly. Therefore in this exercise the focus is on the training of quick reactions and on overcoming the fear of forceful shots. \n- Adjust the forcefulness of the shot according to the age of the goalkeeper.\n- Vary the shots between flat, half-height and high balls.\n- Feet should point in the direction of the shoots and should be roughly hip-width apart, the upper-body should lean slightly forward and eyes should be fixed on the ball.\n- Balls should be discarded to the side\n- After every shot the goalkeeper must respond immediately to the next ball. \n- A series of shots consists of six shots, then a pause of 1-3 minutes.\n
