Corner balls combined with a game form

  • Training Set Main point

Setup

Both teams position themselves over half the field in the 4-4-2 formation + goalkeeper in both goals. In the middle of the field, a center line is marked with a cone. Player / position legend: TW = goalkeeper A = left full-back B = left central defender C = right central defender D = right full-back E = left outer midfielder F = half-left midfielder G = half-right midfielder H = right outer midfielder I = left striker J = right striker

Procedure

It is played 11 against 11. Every two to three minutes the game is interrupted and a corner kick is played.

Tip

The offensive team takes the following positions for the corner kick: Striker I stands at the goalkeeper and J is positioned at the height of the 5-meter space. The central defenders C and B and the half-right midfielder G are placed at the level of the penalty area. The left outer midfielder E is positioned centrally in the back of the penalty area and the half-left midfielder F behind him, slightly to the left. The two full-backs A and D are in the two semi-central positions behind the center line (16 meters in front of the goal to be defended). Player H hits the corner. Striker variant: Striker I can also be positioned on the 1st post, where he can extend balls or shoot directly on goal. J stands by the goalkeeper and tries to disturb him (no foul). The defensive team takes the following positions on the corner (corner ball from the right side): The left full-back A covers the zone at the short post. The remaining players in the chain of four and the right midfielder form a chain of four (B + C + D + H) approximately at the height of the 5-meter space. The two semi-central midfielders (G + F) are positioned in front of them, in the semi-central area between 5 meters and the penalty area boundary. The left outer midfielder E moves in from its original position and occupies the central area at the level of the penalty area. The two strikers I and J are staggered in front of the penalty area that I covers the back area and is also available as a play option for a counterattack. J stands further forward in the direction of the center line and primarily serves I as a play option, or is intended to achieve liberation strikes or counter-launching flying balls. - 2 large field goals (s)
