Crossover Run

Setup

One set lasts about 10 seconds. Any number of players. Two cones can mark the start and end, for example.

Procedure

Moving laterally to the left, the right leg crosses in front of the left leg. Then the left leg is brought behind the right leg and placed in front of the right leg (and so on). When the left leg comes forward, the hips and arms rotate in the opposite direction (backward), creating a twist between the shoulder and hip axis.

Tip

- Run on the balls of the feet, not on the whole foot or the heels. - Light, nimble footwork, no stomping or pounding. - Quick, short movements. - Short ground contact time.
