Different Styles of Passing Patterns

  • Age U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression

Setup

• 6 cones

The structure of the drill is as shown in the graphic.

Spacing of the cones should be adjusted to the level of play (U14-U19).

Procedure

Player A passes to player B, who lays it off and player A then passes to player C.

Player C dribbles to the cone and lines up at the back.

Players always follow their pass.

Player A plays alternately after laying the ball off with players C and D.

Variation:

Players C and D can use a slalom dribbling or a body feint.

Player A passes to player C, who then leaves it for player B.

Player B then plays into the run of player C.

Tip

Coaching Points:

• Pass of player A should be played into the outside foot of player B

• Body feint, sharp passing, use both feet to pass
