Double Give-and-Go II

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression, Main point
  • Number of Players 6 - 9 players

Setup

Two cones are set up facing each other. Three players stand at each cone. One of the groups has a ball.

Procedure

A double give-and-go is always performed: Player A passes the ball to Player B, who lets it bounce into the run of A. Player A bounces the ball directly into the run of B and lines up behind the blue players. B now plays vertically (deep) to the other side (blue side). A constantly alternating give-and-go game develops.

Tip

- The ball-expecting player starts his counter-movement simultaneously with the passer's backswing. - The wall passer must adjust his running speed to the pass speed. - Do not place the plant foot too far from the ball and make sure the players do not lean backward. - Pass timing and start timing are decisive. - Often the players run faster than they pass. - Demand pass sharpness and accuracy. - 2 cones
