The goalkeeper stands near the post in the goal as shown in the diagram. One goalkeeper coach (A) stands with a ball behind the goal, another 10 metres offset to the side (C), and one centered 10-12 m in front of the goal (B). The balls are with the goalkeeper coaches.
Procedure
The goalkeeper stands with their back to the field in the goal. As soon as A drops the ball, the goalkeeper turns to face goalkeeper coach B and tries to save the first shot (toward the far corner). Immediately after, they receive the second shot from C, aiming at the near corner. Intensity: 6-8 repetitions. Movement/passing/throwing sequence: A - Goalkeeper coach drops the ball. 1 - Goalkeeper reacts to this signal, turns, and tries to save B's shot. C - Second shot on goal. 2 - Goalkeeper's jump/reaction to the second ball.
Tip
- As soon as the goalkeeper begins to turn, the coach's shot comes. - The goalkeeper tries to hold the balls. If unable, they should parry the balls to the side. - The takeoff is either without or with only one intermediate step. Multiple steps represent too much time loss. The body weight is on the push-off leg during takeoff. - The goalkeeper dives sideways with a swing step. To the right by generating momentum through the right foot and pushing off laterally from the balls of the feet. To the left by generating momentum through the left foot. - The goalkeeper makes one movement to the right and one to the left. - Vary the sides and shooting angles of the shooters. - 1 full-size goal(s)
