Double Transition

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19, Men's / Women's
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 6 - 9 players

Setup

  • 3 mini goals
  • Cones of different colors
  • Full-size goal

Procedure

  • Each round consists of 3 balls for the central player. Players position themselves according to the diagram. 2 players form a striker pair, one player acts as the central passing station facing the goalkeeper, and 3 players stand next to the mini goals.
  • 1st Ball: The coach shows a color (only holds it up, doesn't say it aloud, so the central player doesn't know) and starts the exercise with a pass to the central player (blue). Simultaneously, players not chosen for that color occupy the mini goals. The central player turns, controls the ball, and attempts to pass to the free goal.
  • 2nd Ball: Next, the coach passes the 2nd ball towards the central player. The central player tries to play the striker into space with 2 touches, who immediately takes a shot.
  • 3rd Ball: After the striker's shot, the central player receives a 3rd ball and takes a shot themselves.
