The station is set up on a mountain, sprint hill or similar terrain with a gradient. The start and the end of the sprint route are each marked with a cone. In front of the starting cone, the players line up one behind the other. There should be no more than 5-8 players per station.
The player starts on a signal from the trainer and sprints downhill to the end cone.
- By running downhill, the increase in the step frequency and the stride length, and thus the improvement of the maximum movement speed, is trained. - The route should not be too steep, as the runner may end up running at too high a speed he has to slow down and thus an uneven running style is provoked. - The sprint starts in step position on the foodpads. At the beginning the upper body is bent far forward, the center of gravity is at hip level, the view goes down. After pressing firmly over the pads of the feet, the upper body is gradually straightened up, the gaze lifts and the step frequency increases. The arms are actively moved alternately with the leg movement (the right leg goes forward, the left arm goes forward and vice versa). After the first 3-4 steps on the footpads, roll over the whole foot (heel-> sole-> footpads), the upper body is upright and calm, the step frequency increases to the maximum. - 2 cones
