Set up a goal and a starting cone. The players stand with balls at the starting cone.
Procedure
Dribble out is a rule-based dribbling/finishing competition. The starting player dribbles with the ball and tries to beat the goalkeeper. Whoever fails to score becomes the goalkeeper. Each goal conceded counts as a minus point. At three minus points, you're eliminated. If you score against a player who already has two minus points and thus cause his third, the scorer must still go in goal, since the other player is eliminated from the competition. The last player remaining wins the competition.
Tip
- Pay attention to correct body posture when shooting: upper body over the ball; plant foot approx. 30-40 cm offset to the side of the ball, foot pointing in the shooting direction; arms swing along; the arm closest to the kicking leg follows the leg's backswing motion, the other is brought forward; eyes are on the ball at the moment of the shot. - The upper body is slightly bent forward at the start of the dribble. When stopping andnpulling the ball back, it straightens up slightly. - When executing a body feint, the centre of gravity shifts correspondingly to the right or left through the typical sideways angling of the upper body for body feints. - Don't lean backward. - The arms are bent at the elbow and carried at the sides of the body, following the normal arm movement when running/walking. - Bend the leg when receiving the ball. - The ball is only touched lightly ("gently"). A feel for the ball must be developed. - The gaze should regularly leave the ball (alternating between looking at the ball and looking ahead). - Keep the tempo up. - As many ball touches as possible. - The legs are slightly bent at the knee during execution. - Close ball control (ball should not be more than 50 cm from the foot). - 1 cone, 1 full-size goal(s)
