Dribbling + feint variant II

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression, Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players, 6 - 9 players

Setup

Construction of several cones facing each other according to the graphic. The players are evenly distributed over the cones. The respective starting player has a ball.

Procedure

The starting players start dribbling at the same time and perform various feint or ball control techniques. You try to dribble at the same pace as your neighbor and to cross the running paths with them twice per practice run.

Tip

Make sure that the content required in this exercise (ball control techniques, feinting, crossing) is carried out quickly and precisely. - When executing the feint, make sure that there is a lateral deviation of the running direction. - The ball-passing to the next player should be done towards his strong foot - Keep the players in contact with the ball to check by regularly looking up whether a steady pace is maintained between the players during the exercise. If not, the players have to vary the pace independently for a short time until they are back on the same level. This is necessary, on the one hand, so that the practice sequence works smoothly, and on the other hand, because the players are repeatedly asked to take their eyes off the ball and observe their surroundings. - When crossing, make sure that the players run past each other and do not collide. Here, too, make it clear to the players that you have to take your eyes off the ball to see how the other player is walking. - During this exercise, communication between the players performing this exercise can also ensure that the exercise runs synchronously. Note: Communication is an important part of all team sports. Therefore, keep asking for communication in this exercise. - 4 cones
