Construction of a large square cone and a smaller square cone placed in it. The players are evenly distributed among the four cones of the large square. The respective starting player has a ball.
The four starting players begin at the same time with a dribble to the next cone of the outer square, which is on the right-hand side of the player. At the same time, the players waiting at these cones start (without the ball) and run at top speed towards the player in charge of the ball. He tries to play the attacking player in the trapezoidal space delimited by the two closest cones of the inner and the two closest cones of the outer square, and to get to his starting cone. The attacking player slows down 2-3 meters in front of the ball-bearing player and tries in turn to capture the ball. Then the opposite cone is lined up and the task is changed.
- In this exercise the focus is on a 1: 1 situation in a limited space. For the player in possession of the ball, this means: a) Dribbling at the highest speed b) Choosing the right path (in the middle, since he can play around the opponent both on the left and right) c) Optional use of a suitable feint at the highest speed d) Maintaining or if possible, accelerate the pace after winning a duel in order to set yourself apart from the opponent. For the attacking player this means: a) Run towards the player in front of the ball in the sprint and immediately after kick-off b) Reduce the pace at the right moment (2-3m in front of the opponent) c) Position the opponent laterally offset and pick up his speed by running backwards d) push the player in possession of the ball as far as possible to the side of the playing field e) at the right moment (e.g. if the ball has left the player's foot too far) start a ball-conquering attack f) try to get possession of the ball and not just hit the ball away or clear it. - 8 cones
