Dribbling + Feints

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players, 6 - 9 players

Setup

Set up 9 cones as shown in the diagram. The players distribute evenly at the diagonally opposite starting positions between the outer cones. Distribute the balls evenly on both starting sides.

Procedure

The two starting players E + D start simultaneously with a straight dribble to the height of the middle cones. There they can perform a feint and continue dribbling to the other side. This cycle of dribbling, feinting, and position switching continues permanently. Variations: - Different ball control techniques (inside of the foot, outside of the foot, laces, sole, sole/inside). - A feint can be added at the middle cone (stepover, shot fake, pirouette, etc.).

Tip

- The dribblers carry the ball at maximum speed and try to execute the feint fluidly and quickly. After executing the feint, an acceleration burst of 2-3 metres must follow. - Tight, quick ball control. The ball should not be more than 0.5 - 1 metre from the foot. - Constantly alternate looking at the ball and looking up. - 9 cones
