  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players

Setup

4 cones are built as a diamond. The players position themselves at the cones with the ball according to the graphic.

Procedure

A dribbles with the ball at top speed. Player B tries to prevent him from dribbling to the other side. A 1 against 1 situation arises. When B wins the ball, he tries to dribble to the other side. Then players C + D start.

Tip

- Defensive duel (conquering the ball is the top priority! Do not shoot the ball away.) - Positioning the body so that the opponent is pushed away from the goal. Close the path to the baseline. Stand sideways, offer side; lure the enemy where you want them; then slide your body in between to conquer ball. - Stand on your footpads, not on your whole feet. - Try to slow down the opponent's pace. (This is to gain time for the other defenders in the game.) - Offensive duel If possible, approach the opponent at the highest speed. At slow pace try to use a body illusion. - 4 cones
