- 4 cones set up as a diamond.
- Form pairs standing opposite each other
- One player in each pair has a ball
A dribbles with the ball at full speed. Player B tries to prevent him from dribbling to the other side. A 1v1 situation develops. If B wins the ball, he tries to dribble to the other side. Then players C + D start.
- Defensive duel (winning the ball is the top priority! Don't just kick the ball away.)
- Position the body so that the opponent is pushed away from the goal toward the outside. Close down the path to the end line.
- Stand sideways, show one side; lure the opponent where you want him; then push your body in between to win the ball.
- Stand on the balls of the feet, not flat-footed.
- Try to reduce the opponent's speed. (This buys time for other defenders in a real game situation.)
- Attacking duel: If possible, approach the opponent at full speed. At slow speed, try to use a body feint.
