Dribbling + One-Two + First Touch

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression, Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players, 6 - 9 players

Setup

Four small squares are set up so they form one large square together. The players position themselves with balls according to the diagram at the top ends between the cones.

Procedure

Player D dribbles to the midfield line and plays a diagonal pass to player E, who then plays a one-two with player D. E takes the return ball in stride, dribbles to the midfield line, and passes diagonally to player B, who starts the same dribbling/passing sequence.n Variations: - The coach can specify different dribbling techniques (inside of foot, outside of foot, laces, sole of foot). - Before the pass at the midfield line, a feint should be performed (step-over, shot fake, pirouette, etc.).

Tip

- The player expecting the ball starts his decoy run at the same time as the passer's delivery motion. - The wall-passer must adjust his running speed to the pass speed. - Do not place the standing foot too far from the ball and ensure the players do not lean backward. - The pass timing and start timing are crucial. - Players often run faster than they pass. - Demand pass sharpness and accuracy. - The first touch should be taken with one contact. - 9 cones
