  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19, Men's / Women's
  • Training Set Progression
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players, 6 - 9 players, 10-15 players

Setup

Pitch: Mark out an area of 25 x 25 metres with four cones and set up 2 mini goals on each of two opposite sides.

Equipment: 4 cones, 4 mini goals, bibs in several colours, 1 ball per player.

Players: The players are divided into several colour groups by bibs or shirts, every player has a ball. The coach stands outside the area and calls out the colours.

Procedure

  • The players dribble freely in the playing area and carry out set tasks, for example performing a step-over or a shot feint after a certain number of steps.
  • If the coach calls out one of the colours, these players immediately leave their ball and try to win as many of the other players' balls as possible.
  • The players whose colour has not been called try to score on the mini goals as quickly as possible.
  • A ball counts as won when a defending player controls it or when it has left the playing area.
  • As soon as all balls have been won or are lying in a goal, the next round starts.

Note: Drill idea by Eddie Plickat.

Tip

  • Make sure that the set tasks are carried out cleanly.
  • On the command the switch should be made as quickly as possible, above all the balls in the immediate vicinity should be attacked decisively.
