The goalkeeper positions himself in the centre of the goal. The goalkeeper coach (GC) stands centrally 12 m from the goal. 2 further players/goalkeepers/GCs stand the same distance away, albeit off-centre. The balls are with the GC and the players positioned to the side.
Procedure
The GC and the two further players take it in turns to shoot dropkicks at goal. The goalkeeper stands in goal and tries to stop the balls. It is important that he narrows the angle for each shooter accordingly, in so much as that he repositions himself before each shot. Intensity: 6-9 Shots, then change. 3 rounds per goalkeeper. Resources: 1 Full-Size goal
Tip
1 full-court goal(s), - Just before the shooters contact with the ball, the goalkeeper makes a small jump forward with both legs, spreads his arms out wide, bucks his knees, and stands up to the ball. The feet point towards the shooter and are approximately at hips distance. The torso is leaned slightly forward and the eyes are fixed on the ball. \n- The take-off takes place either with or without an intermediate step. Taking many steps, makes for too large a waste of time. When taking off, the bodyweight is on the push-off leg.\n- The goalkeeper falls with a step of momentum to the side. To the right, by taking momentum over his right foot, and laterally pushes off over the soccer ball. To the left by taking momentum over the left foot.\nWhen performing a drop kick the ball should be met with the laces at the moment that it hits the ground. Take the ball in both hands, stretch out the arms and drop the ball. The leg follows through after contact. The ball should not spin. \n
